It's something we don't talk about, but face it: After lunchtime, sitting back at your desk, many of us find the need to release a little something into the air behind our chair.

It's embarrassing, especially if any nearby co-worker notices it.

Now, a new brand of underwear claims it can fight that odor. The Japanese company Seiren has just released a product line called DOEST that is coated in the back with an odor absorbing, breathable ceramic pad.

The company claims it can reduce embarrassing smells by up to 80 percent, operating as a sort of charcoal filter on your posterior.  It is also working on a similar product for socks, for people with foot odor issues.

The underwear is supposedly good for more than 100 washes. It is now on sale in Japan for about $40 a pair, and if successful, will be sold in the United States.

Depending on how well you digest the foods, this could be the greatest thing ever invented, or a case of don't waste your money.
