With many of us running space heaters this January to try to keep warm, we have an important safety alert about one heater that could be a fire hazard.
Big Lots is recalling "Climate Keeper" portable ceramic heaters. This recall was originally issued last August, but few people have a space heater out in August, so the CPSC is re-issuing this recall now in mid Winter.
They can overheat, melt the plastic, and start a fire.
They were sold at Big Lots stores since 2010 for about $25, and say Climate Keeper on a label on the heater.
Unplug them immediately and return them to Big Lots.
As always, don't waste your money.
