Yard House to hire more than 200 for new restaurant at The Banks starting next week

CINCINNATI - More than 200 jobs will be available when a new tenant at the Banks riverfront development starts taking applications next week.

Yard House, an American fusion restaurant known for its vast selection of draught beers, will begin hiring bartenders, hosts, servers, dishwashers and cooks Feb. 5. That’s when a temporary hiring center will open at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center. Applicants are asked to show up between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. between Feb. 5 and Mar. 1. “We want to hire locally and are looking to employ people with all levels of experience and skills, but, more importantly, we want team members who are willing to work hard and be rewarded for it,” said Harald Hermann, president of Yard House Restaurants, in a press release.

Yard House is restaurant chain with 43 locations, based in Irvine, Calif. It plans to open at The Banks March 24, in time for the Cincinnati Reds Opening Day. The Banks is an 18-acre development with 300 apartments and a dozen restaurants and bars in the blocks west of Great American Ball Park.
