CINCINNATI - Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati will start its summer concert series at its outdoor events space with a concert by the rock band The Killers on May 16, the casino announced Monday morning.

The band will perform at the casino’s one-acre event plaza known as “The Shoe,” which is located at the casino’s front entrance. Tickets go on sale March 15 at www.Ticketmaster.com or by calling 1-800-745-3000.

The band will kick off a series of live concerts to be hosted at The Shoe this summer. The Killers are best known for their songs “Somebody Told Me,” “Mr. Brightside” and “Miss Atomic Bomb.” The band has been nominated for seven Grammy awards.

“We are excited to have The Killers as the debut act for The Shoe,” Horseshoe Cincinnati Vice President of Marketing Mike Warren said in a news release.  “We are finalizing the schedule for a variety of world-class entertainers to perform this season at The Shoe and look forward to announcing the lineup very soon.”
