CINCINNATI - United Airlines has again raised the fee for a second checked bag on its trans-Atlantic fights from $70 to $100. The move comes despite falling jet fuel prices.
Delta Airlines increased its fees for a second bag in January of this year.
United's decision could prompt American and U.S. Airways to match the fee hike in the near future.
United's revenue is expected to increase by $30 million a year from the new charge.
