CINCINNATI - This week on Pet Pals, Bob Howard from the Stray Animal Adoption Program brought in an adorable black Lab that needs a home.

Bullet is a 6-year-old black Lab who’s been around awhile. He’s been at many adoption events but he’s pretty sweet and laid back, so he sometimes goes unnoticed. He’s very affectionate and would make the perfect pet!

If you’re interested in Bullet, he’ll be up for adoption today at the Colerain PetSmart. There are more pets up for adoption at the Western Hills PetSmart and the Ft. Wright Petco. You can also call this week’s Pet Pals Adoption Line at 859-391-1234.

Autumn begins today and with fall comes some problems for your pet. Howard offers a few fall safety tips:

  1. With the impending colder temperatures, rodents are likely to look to head indoors.  People use a number of different chemical products to combat that problem. Take extreme care as these can be harmful to your pets.
  2. Mushrooms have a tendency to thrive with the change of seasons.  Only 1% of mushrooms are toxic.  But, your pets can not tell the difference.
  3. Snakes are beginning to hibernate and can be a bit grouchy in the cooler weather.
  4. Keep school supplies up and out of the way of your pets.
