CINCINNATI - The World Choir Games took over Cincinnati for two weeks this summer, and the city says hosting the event was a collective success.

The city values the overall publicity value of the games being in Cincinnati was more than $49 million.

By the numbers, here is what the World Choir Games ended up promoting during the two weeks of coverage and the years leading up to it:

15,000 official participants from 64 countries

362 registered choirs

200+ events (free and ticketed)

208,567 estimated total attendance at World Choir Games events (free and ticketed)

4 sellout performances at Aronoff Center for the Arts

2 sellout performances at Cincinnati Music Hall

30,000 estimated attendees at Celebration of Nations Parade on Fountain Square sponsored by Fifth Third Bank

4,600 registered First Financial volunteers

125,000 bottles of water donated by Kroger and distributed to participants & volunteers

38,000 packaged snacks for volunteers and hospitality use donated by Kroger

100,000+ volunteer hours served

264 total medals awarded in The Champions Competition (106 Gold, 139 Silver, 19 Bronze)
