'Good Morning America' comes to Cincinnati for World Choir Games

CINCINNATI - The World Choir Games stage just got bigger for two Cincinnati choirs.
The Calvary Sanctuary Choir and Peace and Serenity Choir both performed live as part of the "Good Morning America" show on Monday.
The two local choirs performed with a third choir from Ft. Wayne, Ind.
All three practiced together for the first time July 3. Choir members were shocked and excited to find out they'd be performing for a national television audience.
"We've never had anything like this happen for us, so I'm really grateful," said Kenny Smith, the Peace and Serenity choir director.
The Calvary Sanctuary Choir from Springdale was also enthusiastic about the opportunity.
"It gives us an opportunity and a platform to let people know who we are and where we're from," said Gary Abston, Calvary Sanctuary choir director.
Meteorologist Ginger Zee broadcasted live for "Good Morning America" on Monday morning from Fountain Square Monday between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m.
The public showed their support for Cincinnati by lining Fountain Square in hopes of appearing on "Good Morning America."
