CINCINNATI - The Cincinnati Organizing Committee (COC) for the 2012 World Choir Games is accepting applications now through Feb. 29 for Friendship Concerts that will take place during the World Choir Games, the Olympics of choral music that will be held in Cincinnati from July 4–14.
Friendship Concerts are free performances by participants during the 2012 World Choir Games in city squares, public venues, parks, streets and malls.
Applications can be found at www.2012worldchoirgames.com .
There are 355 choirs from 47 countries that have already registered to participate in the games.
“This is an opportunity for locations that will not be hosting competitions to participate in the World Choir Games,” said Venus Kent, director of participant services for the COC. “We have been asked many times how places can get involved; this is one of those ways.”
