FAIRFIELD, Ohio - A Rock and Roll Hall of Fame musician will come to town next year as part of the 2012 Sojourner concert series.
The series kicks off with Mark Farner from Grand Funk Railroad fame. He'll perform on Saturday, Feb. 4.
Then Grammy Award winner Jimmy Webb comes to town. Can't place his name? You know his music including "Up, Up and Away", "By the Time I Get to Phoenix", "Wichita Lineman", "Galveston", "The Worst That Could Happen", and "MacArthur Park".
His songs have been recorded or performed by Glen Campbell, The 5th Dimension, The Supremes, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Isaac Hayes, Art Garfunkel, Amy Grant, America, Linda Ronstadt, R.E.M., Michael Feinstein, and Carly Simon among others.
Rick Derringer will perform Saturday, April 28. Besides his early days as the frontman for "The McCoys", he has recorded and played with Johnny Winter, Edgar Winer, Steely Dan, Todd Rundgren and Alice Cooper. On his own, he's best known for "Rock and Roll, Hoochie Koo".
All of the concerts are at the Fairfield Community Arts center located at 411 Wessel Drive.
