CINCINNATI - If a Northern Kentucky man gets his way, he'll soon be dancing with Ellen DeGeneres.
Forest Thomer, 23, of Cold Spring is on his way to getting 1 million people to "Do the Ellen." DeGeneres, the popular talk show host seen on Channel 9, dances with her audience during one segment each show.
On Aug. 18, Thomer will be at "Party in the Park" recruiting people to take part in the "World's Largest Ellen Dance."
"One of my dreams in life is to dance with Ellen," said Thomer. "Some of my friends said it would never happen, and I am out to live a dream. I'm a man on mission."
The fun starts Wednesday, at 5:30 p.m. at Sawyer Point in Downtown Cincinnati. Admission is free. The Menus will be performing live.
Thomer also showed 9 News anchor Tanya O'Rourke how to do the Ellen Dance on 9 News at Noon. The video can be viewed in the player to the left.
