CINCINNATI - Cincinnati’s own Lachey brothers won nearly $63,000 on The Price Is Right Monday to contribute to Camp Joy’s 75th Anniversary Capital Campaign.
Drew and Nick Lachey are both former students at Cincinnati’s School for Creative and Performing Arts and members of the band 98 Degrees.
They won $62,688, according to a news release, which will be used to help build a new camper village at Camp Joy. Drew Lachey worked there as a summer camp counselor while attending SCPA.
The groundbreaking for the camper village is scheduled for this summer. The project will allow about 100 more young campers per week to be served over 10 weeks of summer, according to the release. Camp Joy caters to youth in foster care, low-income youth and children with medical and special needs.
The Lachey brothers appeared on The Price Is Right as part of the game show’s Celebrity Week, which continues through Friday.
