Looking for something to do this weekend? WCPO and CityBeat have teamed up to bring you the top 9 weekend things to do in the Tri-State.

1. Be Really German:
It's almost fall and this is Cincinnati, which means Oktoberfest season is upon us. The season kicks off on MainStrasse in Covington in the most appropriate district that hosts more than six blocks of bars and restaurants to patronize. In addition to the deliciously unhealthy food and drinks, the festival features carnival rides, 3-D chalk drawings, balloon art and magicians. It will be hard to miss if you drive through Kentucky any day this weekend, so stop by and experience die guten Zeiten. Drink up the details by clicking here .

2. Or Be Hispanic:
Come back across the river and enter a whole new country, Spain! Delicious Latin fare will invade the Hamilton County Fairgrounds Saturday and Sunday for 11 hours of a big house party and non-stop Latin music you'll want to dance to each day. Bring your dancing shoes, but if your rhythm doesn't measure up, don't worry, las bebidas están disponibles. Dance to the details of the festival here .

3. Or Be Any Ethnicity You Want:
The Cincinnati Beer Festival on Fountain Square offers an indulgence unlike many others and offers more than one nationality to choose from. Over 200 different brews are available starting at just $1 a sample all weekend. Mt. Carmel, Christian Moerlein, Guinness and Leinenkugel are just a few of the big names set to offer their finest, but make sure and try the not-so-well known brews, too. Debauchery is promised. Your details are here .

4. Dance In the Streets:
Second Sunday in Over-the-Rhine is an ever-growing event that offers a calm prelude to the week. The all-day street fair on Main Street downtown features over 60 craft and food vendors with music from DJs looming over your every step. Cincy's Young Shakespeare Company will also be on hand and free yoga sessions are available should you feel the need to balance out your weekend. There are also craft and cocktail demos, the list of available activities go on and on. Check out the details of this very funday Sunday here .

5. Meet Shakespeare From The '60s:
The Cincinnati Shakespeare Company kicks off their season with a twist on a humorous classic. The group is taking Much Ado About Nothing and plopping it in the middle of the hippie movement of the 1960s. The love aspect of this tale echoes well in the era it is set in, but with the quirky reworking of this Shakespearean brainchild, sometimes love isn't all you need. Definitely a play worth checking out for a unique take on the theater. For thine details, click doth link here .

6. Bowl, Eat And Drink Like A Star:
In case you haven't checked out Star Lanes on the Levee in Newport yet, go. Now. Right this second. No, seriously. This place has it all. Delicious food, tons of bowling lanes(although expect a wait if you haven't reserved one by Friday or Saturday night), an extensive drink list, pool tables, great music and great company. And if you somehow get bored with bowling, the bar right next door, Toro, offers a bull and a more bar-specific atmosphere, complete with a glass door to peer in before you enter. Get a full review of the dinner experience at Star Lanes here .

7. Listen To A Collection Of Stories:
For 25 years, Ensemble Theatre has been telling a lot of amazing stories. Their newest performance, Collected Stories , offers the same. In celebration of the anniversary of theatre, this plot tells the tale of an established writer who tangles with an ambitious protege, showing just how those stories get on the stage in the first place. This is a must see performance for a great celebration of the arts in Cincinnati. For details on the show, click here .

8. Rock Your Roots:
Singer-songwriter Shelby Lynne has laid her groundwork as an artist in the Americana/AltCountry genre, but doesn't quite fit the bill of loud modern music, but this doesn't make her any less talented or any less listenable. Lynne promises a good show of uncluttered, quietly pleasurable melodies off her newest album at the Southgate House Saturday. For details on Lynne's show, click here .

9. Try Something New:
The Cincinnati Ballet's season kicks off this weekend with its annual performance medley New Works , a mixed repertory program. The handful of local, national and international choreographers' new and mostly contemporary pieces will be on full display. For a unique evening of intimate exploration into ballet, show up at the Cincinnati Ballet Center this weekend. For details on the performance, click here .
