1. Cincy Winter Beerfest
The saddest realities we must face right now about the Cincy Winter Beerfest include two facets: 1) It cannot last forever, and 2) Even Andre the Giant wouldn’t be able to handle samples of all 365 craft beers available for tasting. The sooner you accept this, the sooner you can start executing a detailed game plan to make what might be the highlights of Cincinnati Beer Week also the highlights of several weeks to come.

2. Appalachian Culture Festival
This weekend bring the entire family to the Cincinnati Museum Center for the Appalachian Culture Festival, which is an extension of the Appalachia Festival held every spring.
Learn about mountain culture in Appalachia and enjoy live bluegrass music, see art demonstrations and works by skilled mountain crafters.
The event takes place in the CMC's public area and admission is free.

3. 4EG pub crawl for the American Heart Association
4EG is hosting a pub crawl this weekend to raise money for the American Heart Association.
Enjoy food and drink specials at each stop along the way, as well as free giveaways and gift cards. The pub crawl starts at Igby's, 4EG's newest downtown bar, stops at five other bars, and ends back at Igby's for the night.
Tickets are $25 which includes entry to the bars, transportation, a T-shirt and sweatband. For those who finish the course get a 4EG headband at the finish line at Igby's.

4. AMC Best Picture showcase
If you're planning on watching the Oscars this year, but haven't seen any of the films nominated for Best Picture, you're in luck.
AMC is hosting a Best Picture showcase this weekend for the 2013 nominees. Either see "Amour," "Les Miserables," "Argo," and "Django" for $30, or "Beasts of the Southern Wild," "Life of Pi," "Lincoln," "Silver Linings Playbook" and "Zero Dark Thirty" for $40.

5. CSC presents "Dangerous Liaisons"
Perhaps you’ve seen the cinematic version of Christopher Hampton’s "Dangerous Liaisons," the story of manipulative seduction by a pair of idle 18th-century aristocrats in pre-Revolutionary France who cynically decide to indulge in duplicity and passion to pass the time and amuse themselves. The 1988 film featured Glenn Close, John Malkovich, Uma Thurman and Michelle Pfeiffer.
But experiencing the story with live actors in an intimate theatrical setting makes it feel all the more “dangerous,” and that’s what Cincinnati Shakespeare Company has to offer in its upcoming production. Longtime favorite CSC actors Giles Davies and Corinne Mohlenhoff portray the devious pair, Vicomte de Valmont and the Marquise de Merteuil; Bailie Breaux and Kelly Mengelkoch are their innocent prey.
