Be it final Friday or third Thursday, just about every neighborhood with an art gallery has their version of the monthly art walk. In Northside, Cincinnati’s most unconventional ’hood, it’s second Saturdays. From 6-10 p.m., shops of all manner keep the doors open and the music on, welcoming visitors to experience Northside’s diversity firsthand.
While much of the activity is centered around the intersection of Hamilton and Blue Rock, further up the street a slew of establishments round out the fun. One of these hilltop enterprises, the funky vintage clothing and accessories shop NVISION, hosts Abandon Ship, a new exhibition of paintings and drawing by artist Angela Oster. Her playful lines and tragicomic imagery explores the junctures between life’s joys and sorrows. Opening reception refreshments and music by DJ MCMLXIII. Through July 22. NVISION, 4577 Hamilton Ave., Northside. www.nvisionshop.com .
