CINCINNATI - By MPMF staff
Over-the-Rhine's recently renovated and opened Washington Park and its Civic Lawn space will serve as this year's all-ages access main stage for the eleventh edition of the downtown Cincinnati festival, hosting the likes of MPMF.12 headliners Andrew Bird, Grizzly Bear and Sleigh Bells.
These notable artists and their special guests will be performing from 4-10 p.m. each day of the Sept. 27-29 festival. All Washington Park performances will be ticketed events, requiring an All Music Access Pass, a VIP Pass, or the now available individual Washington Park Thursday, Friday or Saturday ticket to access the performance area. A total of four acts will play each evening of the festival.

"[Andrew Bird] has yet to lose the sense of wonder that a bright-eyed child brings to the world... Break It Yourself is a shimmering collection of clever and carefully constructed songs." -The New Yorker
Friday September 28, Grizzly Bear with Special Guests ($30)
New album "Shields" due out Sept.17/18. Their last album ranked #1 on the NPR Listener's Poll and was in the Top 10 on year-end lists in The New York Times, Time Magazine, Pitchfork, SPIN, The Village Voice's Pazz & Jop Poll, and many more
Saturday, September 29, Sleigh Bells with Special Guests ($30)
Profiled in May 2012 issue of Rolling Stone's "10 New Artists Shaping Music Tomorrow".
According to Dan McCabe, MPMF's executive producer, "MidPoint's June 7 Initial Artist Announcement was picked up by national media and the festival received a designation as a 'hidden indie gem tucked away in the Midwest' by popular music source Paste Magazine."
"Washington Park's availability to MPMF for presenting these caliber, pioneering artists is why all eyes (and ears) will be on Cincinnati this September. The Over The Rhine neighborhood, downtown Cincinnati—everything our exciting city has accomplished including the Washington Park renovation will be showcased to the entire region during MPMF.12," concluded McCabe.
