CINCINNATI - If you're headed out to MidPoint Music Festival this weekend, figuring out when and where bands are playing can feel hectic, especially as thousands of other festival attendees are doing the same thing.
Cincinnati Mac Genius Brian Niesz has partnered with MPMF to create a web app to help alleviate some of this burden.
The All Night Party's MPMF.11 Mobile Guide is compatible with iPhones, Androids and similar smartphones. It's also free.
You can search either by band, venue or the night to find out where and when you need to go. And, if you're not sure where to go or which band you want to see, the web app also provides suggestions.
"My favorite feature is the Soon! button. If you've got some time to kill before your next show or if you're not into the show where you've found yourself, you can press Soon! to see everything starting within the next hour or so," said Niesz.
It is not available on iTunes, but just put http://mpmf.theallnightparty.com in your phone's Internet browser.
"The app allows you to view the MPMF schedule in multiple ways; by venue, by band, even what's going on right now. So you don't have to search around a page to find out when your favorite bands play. Just look em up," said Niesz.
