Senate restaurant has decided to cancel their brunch services on the weekends.

The management team came to the decision after just a couple weeks of serving patrons at brunch.

They said it was not due to lack of business, in fact it was too much business, and some of the folks that run the restaurant weren't getting to spend time with any of their family.

The team at Senate left this message on their Facebook page, announcing the closure of brunch:

File this one under the "What the hell were we thinking" category.

We have decided to Close for Brunch. Now let me be clear, the decision was definitely not unanimous amongst our staff. It's also not about it being busy. ( because it was crazy busy) The decision was made because I have two incredible newborns at home as does our management staff, personally I've had two days off since my boys came home and since we started brunch. The decision is solely about the quality of life for both our staff and ourselves. We tirelessly devote ourselves to putting out a great product backed by incredible service Tuesday -Saturday and will continue to do so, but we all need two full days off to detox, relax and regroup.

I'm sure some folks will be disappointed, some folks could care less and some people will hate just to hate. We don't know what the future holds but we may build a brunch restaurant, after all we loved the food and put a lot of thought into it.

Lastly, We want to thank you for your understanding and your continued patronage.
