CINCINNATI - If you're a fan of fireworks, then Coney Island is where you want to be this Saturday night.
For the first time ever, Coney Island will be hosting a fireworks competition with teams from the United States, Mexico and Canada. Cincinnati's own Rozzi Fireworks will conduct a show after the competition.
The competing teams are Alonzo Fireworks of Albany, New York , Sirius Pyrotechnics of Montreal and Lux Pirotecnia of Mexico City.
Admission is $20 per carload which includes parking, rides and entertainment. Season pass holders pay $15 per carload.
Organizers say carload pricing is for standard passenger vehicles only. Admission for those traveling by RV or large passenger vans is $5 per person. Admission is $5 for walk-ins. Coolers and picnic baskets are not permitted, but patrons are allowed to bring chairs or blankets.
The park opens at 5 p.m. and entertainment is provided for the entire night. The competition begins at 9 p.m.
