To some it may have seemed that I was one of those kids that was always falling. But I saw it differently — I thought of it as trying to fly. I was never happy moving my legs in a straight line or keeping my arms to my side. After enough times of getting gravel in my knees, I started to find other ways to grow my wings. I discovered that somewhere between falling and flying was dancing.
Projectmill’s first-Saturday party, Dance_MF at Northside Tavern (4163 Hamilton Ave.), is a place where you and I can soar, and this month we can get up even higher by giving ourselves some added inches with a Marie Antoinette-style powdered wig. This is not a joke.
Marie’s Masquerade Ball is the theme of the night. For all of you who aren’t for jigging in public, this is your chance to shimmy completely anonymously! Bonus: There might be cake too!
Surprise guest at midnight. 10 p.m.- 1 a.m. Saturday. No cover. Get details here .
