13th Annual Polar Plunge

BELLEVUE, Ky. - This year marks the second annual Polar Plunge at Joe's Crab Shack which benefits Special Olympics Programs in Kentucky and Ohio.
This is the 14th anniversary of the Polar Plunge and the sixth year it has supported this particular cause.
A total of six Polar Plunge events will take place throughout the next month which have raised more than $5 million over the years. Last year more than 3,000 participants held raise a total of more than $700,000, which is the highest record of attendance yet.
Participants in the Tri-State raised around $150,000.
More than 700 people are expected at event this Saturday, Feb. 2. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the event starts at 11 a.m. Participants must raise a minimum of $75 or $50 if under 18 years old.
The pool will be set up in the parking lot of Joe's Crab Shack.
