Former SUPERMAN BRANDON ROUTH's new U.S. TV sitcom has been axed after just six episodes.

Partners has been taken off the air with immediate effect after failing to win over viewers.

The show also featured Ugly Betty star Michael Urie, David Krumholtz and Sophia Bush.

The comedy, created by the brains behind beloved series Will & Grace, revolved around the friendship of two business partners - one gay and one straight.
