Meteorologist Larry Handley joined the 9 News Forecasters in April of 1999.

Larry spent the previous 10 years forecasting the weather throughout Florida in cities like Gainesville, West Palm Beach and Orlando.

Larry is thrilled to be living and working in Cincinnati because, as the saying goes, "there's no place like home!"

Larry was born and raised in Cincinnati and attended Mount Healthy High School. He spent four years in the United States Air Force after high school before returning home where he graduated from the University of Cincinnati. While in college, Larry actually worked at WCPO in production before pursuing his career in meteorology.

Larry is married and has a son and a daughter. He feels the greatest blessing in his life is being a dad and that is how he spends most of his free time. He occasionally does find time for other interests though.

A longtime percussionist, Larry also plays guitar. You may also find him running the streets of the Tri-state area training for his next marathon. He has completed several including the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington D.C., the Disney Marathon in Orlando and, of course, the Flying Pig Marathon right here in Cincinnati.
