Lance Barry is an Emmy-nominated journalist who is pleased to call Cincinnati home and to be able to work for a station that is as highly regarded as WCPO. He currently serves as the solo Anchor of Good Morning Tri-State at 4:30. Additionally, he serves as the news update Anchor for the remainder of Good Morning Tri-State. He can also be seen filling in regularly as the Anchor of 9 News at Noon.

Before coming to Channel 9 as a reporter, he briefly held the same position for the WB affiliate in the market. He has also had stops at the Fox affiliate in Rochester, New York and the NBC station in Hagerstown, Maryland, serving as both Anchor and Reporter. He was also an intern with the CBS affiliate in Miami, Florida.

Lance earned his Master's degree in broadcast journalism from "The U", otherwise known as the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. While at UM, he was honored as the college's outstanding graduate student. He was also the play by play broadcaster of the Miami Hurricanes football, basketball and baseball teams. He also holds a Bachelor's degree in mass communication from Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

He is a member of various honor societies within the field of broadcast journalism. He is also active in the community, serving as the past President and Founder of the University of Miami Cincinnati Alumni Group. He also is a member of Dan Beard Boy Scout Council's Professional Leadership Council, does high school student recruitment for UM's Miami Circle, and is a Ducks Unlimited volunteer. He also attends St. Margaret of York parish. His favorite charities are Honor Flight Tri-State and Janet A. Santoro Foundation.

Lance grew up in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York. His hometown is Hammondsport, located on Keuka Lake. He is married, and lives in Loveland with his wife, and young son. In his spare time he enjoys golf, politics, his Labrador Retriever Reagan, and cheering for the 'Canes.
