Former UC Player Pleads Guilty To Drug Charges

A man who helped lead the University of Cincinnati Bearcats to the Final Four before playing in the NBA pleaded guilty to drug charges Wednesday.

Corie Blount pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of marijuana.

Blount was arrested Dec. 4, 2008 when police intercepted 11 pounds of marijuana sent to his grandmother's home in Liberty Township.

As part of the plea, Blount agreed to surrender $34,000 and two vehicles the prosecution says he bought through illegal activity.

Blount is free on bond awaiting sentencing.

He faces up to 10 years behind bars.

Blount was drafted by the Chicago Bulls in 1993 and played for severalteams before finishing his pro career with the Toronto Raptors fourseasons ago.
