Cronin Confident Stephenson will Play

University of Cincinnati basketball coach Mick Cronin was confident Wednesday that New York prep star Lance Stephenson will play for the Bearcats.

Stephenson signed with Cincinnati on Tuesday, even though he's scheduled for trial later in July on a misdemeanor sexual
abuse charge. The 6-foot-6 guard from Brooklyn's Lincoln High School is accused of fondling and threatening a girl at the school.

Cronin still isn't certain that Stephenson will be able to play in the coming season.
That will be determined by the school's compliance department and the NCAA
clearinghouse.
