Even though the Cincinnati Cyclones came up short in their quest to repeat as Kelly Cup Champions, there is something the club can hang their hat on.

The team's ticket department has been named as the "Ticket Department of the Year."

The Cyclones' ticket department was one of six in the ECHL to increase attendance numbers over the 2008-09 season. Cincinnati's 44 percent increase in attendance was the second-highest by any team in professional hockey last season.

Cincinnati had the biggest increase in professional hockey at 36.8 percent during the 2007-08 campaign.

The group, led by Director of Game and Ticket Operations Joe Stills, helped coordinate the largest regular season crowd at U.S. Bank Arena for the regular season finale against Johnstown on April 4.
A total of 11,417 (the second-largest crowd to ever the see the Cyclones at home in any game) were on hand for the 6-0 beating and the capturing of the team’s second straight North Division regular season title.

The staff, comprised of Josh Burdine, Michael Cox, Drew Curtis, Matt Piening and Andrew Rowland worked to also deliver the third-biggest crowd to see a regular season game when Dayton came in on January 24. A total of 8,508 came through the doors that evening. By season’s end, four of the ten largest regular season home crowds in team history had passed through the U.S. Bank Arena turnstiles.

Season ticket packages for 2009-10 are currently on sale. Contact the award-winning Cyclones ticket department at 513-421-PUCK, ext. 3 for all the details. The most up-to-date information and broadcast of the games can be found on our website www.cycloneshockey.com.
