Cedric Benson thought he got blackballed by the Chicago Bears, today he got his revenge.

Benson ran for a career-high 189 yards and a touchdown against the team that let him go, as the Bengals shocked the Bears 45-10 at Paul Brown Stadium.

The Bengals improved to 5-2 for the first time since 2005, the last time they advanced to the NFL playoffs.

Carson Palmer also had a sensational day, throwing five touchdown passes, four of them in the first half.  The Bengals scored on all five possesions in the first half to go ahead 31-0.

Chad Ocho Cinco helped lead the first half charge.  He had 103 yards receiving before the break.

Ocho Cinco caught an eight yard touchdown pass from Palmer in the first quarter.  Palmer's other first half touchdown passes went for 9-yards to Chris Henry, 3-yards to J.P. Foschi and 8-yards to Laveranues Coles.

Ocho Cinco added a 13-yard touchdown grab in the third quarter.

Palmer completed 20 of 24 passes for 233 yards and five touchdowns.  He had a quarterback rating of 146.7

The Bengals continue to lead the AFC North Division with a bye coming up next Sunday.
