UC quarterback Tony Pike participated partially in today's practice for UConn Saturday.

He was limited to throwing on the side and didn't take part in the drills that Brian Kelly says will be the determining factor in whether or not he plays.

Tony left before the end of the session, when informed that the special brace for his broken left arm had arrived in the UC training room. It was to have been delivered this morning in time for him to try it out, but that didn't happen.

So the Pike watch will continue another day, though it is looking less and less likely that he will play Saturday.

In an interview for our "Bearcat Fever: Climb to the Top" special to air Saturday at 7 p.m. in advance of ABC's telecast, I asked Tony who his MVP is for the season?

It didn't take long for him to designate the entire offensive line for the job they've done all season with Zach Collaros a close second. "We wouldn't be where we are without ‘em,” he said.
