The University of Cincinnati Bearcats are ranked fifth in the nation, but there is concern that fans need to show more support to Head Football Coach Brian Kelly.

That's why fans are starting a grassroots effort to show the coach just how much they appreciate him.

It's called "Committed to Kelly," where Bearcats fans are asked to purchase a red towel that states "Cincy Committed to Kelly."

Fans are asked to wave the towels at all U.C. football games, tailgates and parties.

Organizers hope for a successful visual representation at Nippert Stadium on November 13.  That's when ESPN will broadcast the "Ring of Red Game" versus West Virginia.

The towels cost $3 each, or two for $5.  Fans can purchase them at all Montgomery Inn locations, the Holy Grail in Clifton and various spots across U.C.'s campus.

All proceeds will go the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati and the Jefferson Avenue Sports Complex.

"Committed to Kelly" kicks off Thursday night at the Original Montgomery Inn (see map below).  Coach Kelly will be hosting his radio show there at 8 p.m.  U.C. football alumni and Bengals punter Kevin Huber will be guests on the show.

The Bearcats travel to Syracuse this Saturday where they will try and improve to 8-0 on the season. Kickoff is slated for noon.
