LAWRENCEBURG, Ind. -- A Lawrenceburg school is closed for the rest of the week to help stop the spread of H1N1 among students.
The principal of Saint Lawrence School says in a letter to parents that there are a handful of confirmed swine flu cases. The school also says more than 60 other students are also showing flu symptoms.
After talking to the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, the principal decided to cancel classes through Friday. Most extracurricular activities are also cancelled.
Principal Karen White is also asking parents to keep their kids at home during this time off so they won't spread or come in contact with the virus. Students will make up these missed days later on in the school year.
