Aaron, Ali, Cosby To Be Honored At Beacon Awards

The Major League Baseball Beacon Awards Luncheon presented by Toyota will host a myriad of big name ball players and celebrities.

The awards ceremony hosted by CNN journalist, Soledad O'Brien will be Saturday, June 20 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Duke Energy Convention Center Grand Ballroom.

Former President Bill Clinton will be on hand to deliver the keynote speech, and BeBe Winans will the the musical guest.

Hank Aaron will be presented the MLB Beacon of Life award by Commissioner Bud Selig.

Muhammad Ali with be presented the MLB Beacon of Change award by Sugar Ray Leonard.

Bill Cosby will be recognized with the MLB Beacon of Hope award, presented to him by Hall of Fame member, Bob Gibson.

Tickets cost $100 per person, but are sold out. Call (513) 765-7240 to be placed on the waiting list in case seats become available.

The Civil Rights Game is Saturday, June 20 at 7 p.m. at the Great American Ball Park.
