Following the success of the 99th Annual NAACP National Convention, the Cincinnati NAACP now has even more to be proud of.

Membership in the Cincinnati NAACP is on the rise. There have been 400 new members between May 1 and July 31, which is an increase of 20 percent over those three months.

This increase in membership brings the total to 2,400 members of the Cincinnati NAACP branch.

The Cincinnati branch was recognized for its significant growth in membership at the 99th Annual NAACP Convention, which was held in Cincinnati.

The increase in membership is assisting the organization to be a stronger political force in the city.

"What will separate our organization from other organization is backing up our talk with our actions. It's our positive and successful actions over the past years that is generating the new memberships" said President Christopher Smitherman.
