Hundreds gathered Thursday evening for the dedication of the Veillette Memorial garden.
The garden is located at Corwin Nixon park near the ballfield parking lot.
Police say Michel Veillette killed his wife, Nadya and their four children in their Mason home in January.
Eight-year-old Marguerite Veillette belonged to a Mason cheerleading team.
Her teammates helped raise the money for the memorial flower garden and bench at the park.
The team practiced at the park last year and the coaches say the team will visit there often.
"They have good days and bad days," saidBrenda Russell, cheerleading head coach. "On stuff like this, they tend to weigh heavy on their shoulders and hearts and then there's days that they bring back all of the happy times and the laughter."
The parents and coaches say the girls have turned to one another for strength and comfort during the last several months since the murders.
