The Cincinnati Fire Department honored firefighters who died in the line of duty and those who have passed away since retiring.
The Duke Convention Center in downtown Cincinnati hosted the memorial service Wednesday morning.
The memorial service stressed the courage and commitment each firefighter, professional and volunteer, gives to the community.
They had trumpeters, bag pipers, and a color guard to set the mood of memorial and celebration of the lives lost.
