The preliminary report goes into detail of the day's activities on April 4 when the home on Squirrelsnest Lane caught fire.
The report found that a fan in the basement started the fire which caused the floor to give way.
Captain Robin Broxterman and firefighter Brian Schira lost their lives while battling the fire.
A second more comprehensive report will be released next year.
