Giving during the month of December is typical. For the past 10 years students at Saint Henry District High School have supplied needs and presents to local families for Christmas.

This year they adopted a new family, taking the total outreach to 10, and the continued to bring in Santa Claus for all the children at the Early Learning Montessori Academy in Covington, Ky.

The kids enjoyed meeting Santa and the teens got a big kick out of watching. One St. Henry student remembered how much he enjoyed Christmas visiting the jolly ole elf.

John Bauman, a sophomore, said, "Looking at them, they're really excited. I used to be (excited) when I sat on Santa's lap."

The teacher leading the charge from Saint Henry is Shawn Schwarz.  Schwarz hopes the gifts teach giving.

"Our hope is that when they get to a good place that they will pay it forward and they will also give onto others," he said.
