Rain and wind earlier this week damaged part of "Light Up Middletown."
The event at Smith Park will go on through New Year's Eve. even without the Santa's workshop display.
The site manager says anchors for the 138-foot design were dislodged and some of the structure was damaged.
Volunteers will repair the damage for next year.
More than 12,000 cars have gone through Smith Park this holiday season for Light Up Middletown.
It's open from 6 p.m.-10 p.m. every night through December 31.
