The Akers family have a lot to be thankful for this holiday, but they're making sure to give back to others as well.
ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition provided the West Chester family with a new home and van fully equipped to transport their children who cannot walk.
The family decided to give away their old van, which includes a lift, to the Bricking family.
The Brickings also have a child with a debilitating back disease.
"The community raised money for us to get a van, and how the community came together in order for us to have this home and everything in it -- it feels so good to be able to give back to somebody else in need," said Ginger Akers.
The Brickings says the van came right on time since the family is heading to Indianapolis soon for their daughter's treatment.
