A Lakota teacher whose support for a student led to an ABC Extreme Makeover Home Edition will be honored Friday night.
Beth Chance is one of 10 women who will be recognized at the West Chester Chamber Alliance "Women of Excellence" awards.
Chance began coordinating fundraisers for the Akers' family when she got to know Brooke Akers in the classroom.
This is the seventh year for the awards event.
