I think Over the Rhine would love the jobs. There are a lot of good people that live there that need decent jobs. Just because people are "poor" doesn't mean they're "lazy or stupid".

Mr. Strickland, you are nuts. We need gambling in this Statem like we need another YOU. I would support such, gambling, only if the monies generated would be used to reduce Property Taxes on something of this nature but it will not. It will give the politicans only more of our monies to spend on stupid stuff. I do not support any gambling in Ohio. Take that Mr. Strickland, and ..

Put the casino in over the rhine, then if there are any problems, it be nothing but normal.

WHERE?!?!?! Cranky, why don't you walk downtown at around 11:00 p.m. Or why don't you take a nice evening stroll through Over The Rhine? Of course it's hard for someone to walk when their head is in the sand.

Prostitution??? WHERE??? I think it brings crime, and we do need more crime here. We also need more taxes. If you pay more taxes, everything will be fine. Obama needs to stop appointing people to new made up "czar" positions. The more people he names, the more tax cheats turn up. That is lost revenue.

Hell, we already have drugs, prostitution, extortion and senseless killing downtown....we might as well have some sort of revenue from it. Hopefully he'll approve the casinos next. Buckeyes are making Indiana wealthy.

"I can't understand why legalizing gambling is such a big problem for KY and OH." Believe it or not there are those out there that still believe it's a sin against God. Also we have those that think it will automatically attract crime such as drugs prostitution and extortion. No matter how often gambling modles in the uited states proove there is no evidence of such crime rising around casinos people just cant let go of there baseless beliefs.

sigironman - 6/19/2009 4:48 PM
Let's get the casino going downtown, and get some real revenue for the whole state.

If you're against it...DON'T GO. I don't.
