This story is another example that some people should NOT be home owners if they cannot make their financial responsibilities. Please don't give me the "It's the economy..." argument because people have been neglecting their taxes for some time now to rack up a $63,000,000 shortfall. Shame on those who are irresponsible, and for those that actually DO have a good reason, I hope your fortune soon turns back into your favor.

People sure have a lot of nerve under the shield of anonymity. I'm white and I'm appalled at how many times race is brought up on this website. I'd like to think that we've come a long way since the Jim Crow but you people are making me think differently.

showstopper - you can't have it both ways. Either blacks are lazy and living off section 8 housing (in which they wouldn't owe property taxes, their landlords would) or blacks actually have a job in order to own a home. And in case you missed the headlines, the economy is affecting EVERY race. I thought this would be one article where I wouldn't find some idiot dragging race into the issue, seeing how ALL of us are struggling right now. Thought maybe here, we could find some common ground to build on. But you have set the bar even lower. Thanks, really appreciate it.
