September's windstorm blew through quickly, but it left a lasting impact on a major Tri-State business.
Duke Energy says the cost of Hurricane Ike, combined with recent mild weather, has caused its third quarter profits to slide by 65 percent.
Duke is based in North Carolina but has over 700,000 customers in the Tri-State.
The company says it had to pull $1 billion from a credit facility to cover the storm costs.
