Sgt. Ryan J. Montgomery of Greensburg, Ky. has died serving his country in Iraq.
Montgomery died July 3, 2005 in Baghdad when an improvised explosive device detonated near his HMMWV while his unit was conducting convoy operations.
The 22-year-old Montgomery was assigned to the Army National Guard's 1st Battalion, 623rd Field Artillery Regiment, out of Campbellsville, Ky.
