Frustrated with waiting for signatures and running to fax machines, 24-year-old Austin Allison is trying to change the way real estate agents do business.
"I kept finding myself meeting clients in parking lots and initialing changes on the trunks of our cars," said Allison.
Allison started selling real estate when he was 18-years-old and did so on the side while he attended the University of Cincinnati.
"At the end of the day when the deal was done, we had this contract that had initials on the margin," continued Allison.
He and his partner Matt Vorst created MLS Contracts. The website allows real estate agents and their clients to keep track of negotiations and to even use an electronic signature to complete a deal.
"We had documents that had been faxed so many times that it wasn't even legible," Allison explained of his days selling real estate.
The aim is to save agents time doing mundane paperwork, thus allowing them to spend more time matching buyers and sellers.
The business will be beta-tested next week by ReMax Unlimited.
