Who says beauty doesn't come with age?
Although the housing market may be in a slump, College Hill is looking brighter than ever after the magazine, This Old House named it one of the best old-house neighborhoods in the United States and Canada.
Fifty-one neighborhoods made the cut in the magazine's second annual search. Neighborhood groups, real estate agencies and preservation societies graded neighborhood's architectural diversity, craftsmanship of homes and the preservation momentum in the area as well as neighborhood amenities including walkability, safety and community.
College Hill is tight-knit and diverse, according to the magazine article. It also has many locally owned businesses.
"College Hill has plenty of old houses that are deserving of a long-term commitment," according to the article. "Here you'll get all the tranquility of tree-lined streets, with access to museums, theaters, and major-league sports in downtown Cincinnati."
