City Tops List: Highest Number Of Vacant Properties

A dubious distinction for the Tri-State: Cincinnati tops the list of U.S. cities with the highest number of vacant properties.

This is according to an Associated Press analysis saying that the nation's emptiest neighborhoods are still concentrated in poor urban areas, such as Over-the-Rhine.

A major revitalization effort is focuses on Over-the-Rhine and federal stimulus dollars are also helping other communities turn the problem around.

At the end of March,there were about four million U.S. homes that had been empty for 90 days or more.
