Two local parents are facing disturbing charges in separate alleged attacks on young children, one featuring a cord, the other a pillow.
Both were stories you saw first on Good Morning Tri-State.
Police arrested Billy Ray Boggs, Jr., 33, of Blue Ash Monday after he allegedly held his 8-year-old son's head tightly against a pillow as a form of punishment at his home on Grooms Road.
Boggs will face that accusation at a 9 a.m. court arraignment Tuesday in Hamilton County court.
Boggs' own mother told police about the pillow incident. Boggs allegedly told her that, while it was for discipline, he was not "trying to kill him", according to court records. He is facing a domestic violence charge.
Joining Boggs in court Tuesday morning will be 26-year-old Brandy Bailey. Bailey, of Mount Healthy, was also arrested Monday on endangering children and domestic violence charges.
Mount Healthy Police say Bailey was hitting her two children with a cord at her home on Clovernook Avenue. The kids, ages 7 and 5, were reportedly struck on their backs, legs, chest and arms.
