It's a hard pill to swallow, but the fact is, this could happen to any of us. I have known people who seemed perfectly fine all their lives, and then suddenly, they lost it. I hope this guy gets the proper help.

This man was probably suffering from mental illness, I would think that stops like this, the cops would be used to. I am sure they see a lot of mentally ill people during traffic stops, and on the streets..GEEZ....Why make fun of the guy...

I do wonder, where do we find this SUPER HUMAN Government person that gets medication into a person when the family can't, Stops people from smoking and eating fatty foods, goes into a hurricane to save those that can't/won't flee, fights fires to save houses built in the woods, enforces the law with out any anger or emotion, catches every criminal before the crime is committed? And if we can find a whole bunch of these "robot-like" people, what will they charge for their services?

Sorry Chrissy about your brother. My mother was a nurse at the state mental hospital (Longview) for 30 years. Back in the late 70's or early 80's they passed a law that even nurses could not force the patients living in the hospital to take their PRESCRIBED meds. That is when things got dangerous and my mom retired. You are right you can't make these people do anything, they are not children. My aunt (my mom's own sister) became mentally ill and we couldn't get her help. We tried everything. Thank God my mom knew how the system worked. I hate to tell you to lie because it is so hard but you can call the police and tell them that he tried to kill you or kill himself. If he has a history of mental illness they have to put him in the hospital for so many days if you do that. When they get out, you just do it again. It's sad that you have to go down to that level but thanks to these stupid laws we pass we have come to that. I will say a prayer for you and your family. Been there.
