Tri-State singles are invited to an out-of-the-ordinary social event, which also benefits disabled children.
Cincy Chic is hosting the "Chemistry for Charity: Singles Scavenger Hunt" Thursday evening in West Chester.
Those who RSVP on the publication's web site will be asked to list some fun facts about themselves. Organizers will then use those facts to create a scavenger hunt at the Mesh Restaurant, which is located at 6200 Mulhauser Road.
There will also be 5-minute massages, half-price appetizers and drink specials. Shopping is also on the agenda with the several vendors set to attend. Those vendors will donate part of their proceeds to a local charity.
"We definitely see a need for helping the singles in Cincinnati. Cincinnati has a bad wrap for that. So we definitely wanted to help, and we're tying it in with a charity. A New Change Foundation is actually a local charity. We're going to have silent auction items there, and then there's also going to be a few vendors there that are giving proceeds back to the New Chance Foundation, said Amy Storer-Scalia, Cincy Chic Publisher.
The New Chance Foundation was inspired by the Akers family, the West Chester family that was helped by ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. The foundation helps local disabled children as they grow older, and their needs change.
Storer-Scalia added that attendees can RSVP on Cincy Chic's web site throughout the day Thursday.
